This book is the 5th book in a series of Vovinam-Viet Vo Dao Technical documentation, based on the international training program. Its objectives are to support and strengthen technical standardization across the global, and preserve the authenticity and quality of the training program of Vovinam-VVD.
Knife counterattack techniques and traditional wrestling have a common denominator: close combat. If you can't approach the opponent, you can't counter the knife attack, and if you can't grab the opponent, you can't use Wrestling techniques either. Second common denominator: a real need in everyday life, especially in dangerous situations. It is for this reason that Vovinam-Viet Vo Dao believes that traditional wrestling and knife counterattack techniques are "necessary self-defense" techniques, and therefore, are taught from the blue belt level. The goal is to allow practitioners to be able to defend themselves effectively.

This is also the aim of this 5th book. In this book, 12 knife counter-attack techniquesand 10 basic traditional wrestling techniques will be presented, which will constitute Song Luyen Dao(knife training for two) and Song Luyen Vat 1 (1st wrestling training for two) of Vovinam-Viet Vo Dao.
You will find in this book, nearly 300 pages with more than 1,200 illustrations, definitions, analyzes, teaching methods... intended for both teachers and practitioners.
